KELP FLEA & FOOD MARKET vendors announced /

May 04, 2011

We are proud to release the list of Flea & Food Market vendors for this Saturday’s throwdown at the DOM POLSKI Polish Hall (379 Waverley).

In a short period of time we have managed to cobble together a very impressive list of chefs who will be making street food-inspired creations for your feasting pleasure:

- The Black Cat (Chef Trish Larkin)
- Murray Street (Chef Steve Mitton)
- Pascale’s All Natural Ice Cream showing off her new ice cream
bike (ding! ding!)
- Raw Sugar Café’s (owner, Nadia Kharyati)
- Ryan Janssens (Sous-chef, Domus Cafe)
- the Urban Element (Chef Candice Butler)
- the Whalesbone (Chef of Catering Kate Klenavic)
and some of Otown’s awesomest amateur chefs! (spent grain pretzels and whoopie pies anyone?)

On the “flea” side of the equation you’ll find:

- Kelp artist Andy Swan’s glass engravings & Andrew Vincent’s handmade wonders
- Neat Coffee (Burnstown, ON)
- Major Craig’s Chutneys
and regular flea market goodies like clothes, toys and records.

Then obviously, the music:

12 PM: Jenny Omnichord
2 PM: Greenfield Main performing their 2004 album Barnburners & Heartchurners

The market will take place at the Dom Polski (379 Waverley, just east of Bank). Doors open at 11am. Tickets are $2 before 1pm, $5 after that. Food and “flea” prices vary.
