HILOTRONS and The Flaps make HORRORble noise!

HILOTRONS and The Flaps return to the stage this month for what should be a spectacular and truly HORRORble affair!

The much-loved Mayfair Theatre (1074 Bank St. @ Sunnyside) presents its first Silent Horror Film Festival, featuring live scores to silent film classics. HILOTRONS will tackle The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)—a personal favorite of my old film prof from UNB—on Friday October 16th at 9pm; the man, the legend, Mark Molnar and his Kingdom Shore mini-orchestra play to Phantom of the Opera at 7pm that evening.

The Flaps hit the Mayfair the following week (Friday October 23rd) at 7pm, with F.W. Murnau’s devilish Faust; the festival caps off that night at 9:30pm, where Mike Dubue, the Mayfair Theatre Orchestra and the 613′s premiere gamelan outfit Semara Winangun team up to play alongside Nosferatu (1922).

Only $15/film for members, $20 for non members, and $50 for a festival pass. Advance tickets and limited festival passes are on sale now at the Mayfair box office Oct. 1.
